PLASTIC PRISON | Art Experience | 2020

We are grateful to have been a part of this fabulous eco-friendly bazaar and able to showcase an Art Experience - Plastic Ocean. Plastic Ocean is an art installation solely created using recycled plastic bottles and bags that were collected for over half a year by Khayalan Arts, this curation is meant to depict the current state of our dear ocean habitat.
The Sea Turtle Conservancy estimates that over 1 million marine animals, including mammals, fish, sharks, turtles, and birds, die each year due to plastic debris in the ocean and there are likely 100 million tons of plastic in oceans around the world.
It may sound rather detaching, but the truth is - this issue affects us more intimately than you may realize, especially as a company based in Indonesia – a maritime nation that depends a lot on sea resources, we should really be much more responsible towards our plastic usage.
